A Night to Remember: RTC’s 2nd Annual Talent Show
RTC Services proudly hosted its 2nd Annual Talent Show, and what an unforgettable evening it was.
The event was held at the historic Holland Theatre and welcomed more than 450 community members for a powerful celebration of creativity, talent, and inclusion. With 25 live performances and nearly 50 pieces of original artwork on display, the night was filled with energy, expression, and pure joy.
There was a fun variety of acts, from country music to hip hop, from impressions to comedy, and more, each act brought something unique to the stage. The performers captivated the audience not only with their talent, but with their confidence, courage, and authenticity. What a truly inspiring experience for all in attendance!
The Talent Show is so much more than applause for RTC’s clients. It provides an opportunity to be seen and heard, to build confidence, and to share their gifts with the community. It’s a reminder of what’s possible when everyone is given the chance to shine.
This year, the impact extended even further, with performances featured on television, allowing friends, family, and supporters across the country to be part of the experience. You can still watch the full event here: https://peakofohiotv.com/sports/details/rtc-services-2nd-annual-talent-show/161
RTC Services is deeply grateful to the partners who made this special night possible. Thank you to the Holland Theatre for providing such a beautiful and historic venue, and to Peak of Ohio TV for helping share these incredible talents with a wider audience. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Slagle Mechanical, McGill Electric, Jenifer and Andy Schreiner, and the Bellefontaine Masonic Lodge for their generous support. This night wouldn’t have been possible without your support.
Because of this community, opportunities like the RTC Talent Show continue to grow, creating moments of connection, celebration, and empowerment for all.
We’re excited to do it all again next year! Mark your calendars for the 3rd Annual RTC Talent Show on March 4, 2027 at the Holland Theatre. You won’t want to miss another incredible night of talent, inspiration, and community.
A Gift That Inspires Creativity
Creativity is thriving in the RTC Studio thanks to a thoughtful and impactful gift; an art projector that is quickly becoming a favorite among the artists we serve.
This new tool allows individuals to trace images directly from an app, giving them the freedom to explore new ideas and create artwork that is uniquely their own. For many, it opens the door to greater confidence and independence in their artistic expression, turning inspiration into something tangible and personal.
At RTC, moments like these matter. The ability to try something new, build skills, and express creativity is a powerful part of what makes our programs so meaningful.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Bellefontaine Masonic Lodge for generously donating the funds for an art projector, along with many other items from the RTC Wish List. Your support is making a real difference, helping create opportunities, spark creativity, and bring joy to those we serve.
Thank you for investing in our mission and the individuals who make it so special.
Star of the Month: Kayti Brandyberry
At RTC Services, our mission comes to life through the dedication and compassion of our team. This month, we are proud to shine a spotlight on Kayti Brandyberry, Lead Support Specialist in the Studio.
Kayti plays a vital role in our art studio program, where creativity, expression, and connection flourish every day. Her passion for the people she serves is evident in everything she does. Whether she’s encouraging someone to try a new artistic technique or simply sharing a laugh, Kayti brings energy, patience, and genuine care to her work.
“I get to do fun things with fun people here,” Kayti shares. She values not only the relationships she builds with the individuals she supports, but also the strong connections she has with her coworkers. That sense of joy and teamwork helps create a positive, welcoming environment where everyone can thrive.
Outside of RTC, Kayti’s life is just as full and vibrant. She is engaged and a proud mom to three daughters, along with two bonus daughters who all keep her busy with all the fun and activities that come with a big, active family. She loves spending time with her kids, especially playing and being part of their everyday adventures.
When she does find a little time for herself, Kayti enjoys the outdoors; mushroom hunting, hiking, fishing, and relaxing at the beach. She’s also a passionate animal lover and says she would save them all if she could.
Kayti’s kindness, enthusiasm, and heart for others make her an incredible asset to RTC and a true example of what it means to support, uplift, and empower those we serve.
Congratulations, Kayti, and thank you for all that you do!
Celebrating Ability, Inclusion, and Community: DD Awareness Month at RTC
March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, a time to recognize the importance of inclusion, celebrate ability, and honor the individuals who make our communities stronger every day. At RTC Services, this month is a meaningful opportunity to highlight the people we serve and the many ways they are thriving.
DD Awareness Month is about shifting perspectives, focusing on strengths, talents, and possibilities, not limitations. Every day, individuals supported by RTC are working, creating, volunteering, building relationships, and contributing in ways that matter.
RTC Services is proud to offer a wide range of programs designed to support individuals with developmental disabilities in living full, meaningful lives, whatever that looks like for them.
Our production site provides a supportive, hands-on environment where individuals can learn, grow, and gain experience that prepares them for community employment. We also offer employment services to help individuals with any disabilities find jobs that match their interests and skill sets, creating pathways to meaningful, competitive employment.
The Community Engagement Program also supports skills building through volunteering. Volunteering creates a sense of community that all of us long for in our lives.
RTC supports younger individuals through transition programs focused on goal setting and developing activities of daily living (ADL) skills, helping them move toward greater independence and confidence as they enter adulthood.
RTC offers engaging day programs for those who are not working. One of those is our art studio that focuses on the arts each day. The others offer creative activities to stimulate their emotional, intellectual and physical growth as well as grow their sense of community.
Throughout March, we celebrated these opportunities in action, including our 2nd Annual Talent Show. That was an unforgettable evening that showcased the creativity, courage, and talent of those we serve. Events like this remind us of the importance of being seen, heard, and celebrated.
None of this would be possible without the dedication of our staff, whose compassion and commitment help create opportunities and empower individuals every day.
DD Awareness Month is also a call to action. Inclusion doesn’t happen by accident, it happens when communities come together to create spaces where everyone belongs and can succeed.
At RTC Services, we are proud to be part of that mission, and we invite you to be part of it too.
There are many ways to support RTC and the individuals we serve. Whether through volunteering, attending events, or donating, your involvement helps create more opportunities for inclusion, growth, and success.
Together, we can build a community where everyone is seen, heard, and celebrated.
