When I got out (of prison), I was having such a hard time with a lot of things from a job, to money issues, and transportation. My probation officer referred me to Brandi with Recovery Supports. Since meeting with Brandi I've came a long way. We worked everything together. She would come pick me up and take me to different places until I found a job. Through her I was able to get on my feet, and now I have a job and everything [I need] to further my life. In a couple months with her help, I've came so far. This is where I started my career in assisting those with barriers to employment. I absolutely had no experience in this field at all- other than I knew that I wanted to help support those with disabilities out in a community job. I started out as a job coach and then moved on to a job developer. RTC Employment Services took me under their wing and inspired me to move forward with my career. 8 years later- I just accepted a job with the State of Ohio as a Rehabilitation Counselor.
